Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a Five Day a Week, Daily Devotional where we share

0:04.8

the word, prayers in our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

0:09.2

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. It's Friday, already one week into October,

0:14.6

and we've landed on our Friday five, five random things to break up the week of inspiration.

0:19.6

This is our no-holds-barred social media

0:22.0

strategy week during our growing up, moving on month on the five-word prayers daily. And sometimes

0:27.7

we just need a few questions to get us kick started in a practical way with things, I think.

0:32.4

I call it, take my own inventory. And never is this so needed than our social media life, right? If you're

1:10.2

what we're looking at and who we

1:11.8

find ourselves following. If what we're spending our time reading or who we're following helps us,

1:18.3

that's a win and probably a good reason to keep following or reading. If they hinder,

1:23.8

it's a no-brainer to shut it down and walk away. Help or hinder is the litmus test here and you have to

1:29.7

choose one. A neutral thing goes in the hinder column simply because what doesn't help hinders because

1:35.8

it takes us time away from the helpful stuff. Hope that makes sense. Number two, does it help someone else?

1:46.1

This mainly applies to what we are posting. Is what you're about to post helpful to someone else? Not you're mad and you're about

1:51.2

to say something out of anger, but you can manipulate it, turn it around, justify it to say it helps

1:55.8

them because you're speaking truth to them and they really need it. But truly, is it going to
