Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, in our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

We're talking this week on the show about letting go and holding on and how God asks us to do both in our life.

0:18.7

Today and tomorrow, we're going to focus on the holding on part. Man, if holding on to God in this life isn't a lifestyle for you, we are not on the same

0:25.8

page because I feel like most of my life is holding on for dear life. And anytime I'm out of whack,

0:31.3

it's because I have let my grip get too loose. Today I want to talk about God's plans. What is

0:37.4

God's plan for your life? You think you know?

0:39.8

Wouldn't you like to know? One thing is for sure, we'd better be holding on tight to the plan of God

0:44.8

since he's the one who knows the best one for each of us, right?

1:06.3

His plan is for us to go and make disciples, Matthew 28, to love, John 13, really all throughout the

1:12.8

Bible, to live with an eternal perspective, Colossians 3, 2. Those plans are set. That already

1:20.0

tells us a lot of what we need to be doing with our time, so there's not a lot to figure out

1:23.8

in that regard. I think a lot of us look around for things to do and forget completely

1:28.4

that our job description is really already in the Bible. We just need to be looking there and then

1:34.3

look at our life and where we are and plug in that scenario and that space. We don't have to look

1:39.7

any further for ministry than what is right in front of us. We of course pray and stay open to God to

1:45.4

move and use us wherever, but I'm convinced a whole lot more of us just need to get busy right

1:50.3

where we are. God's plan is for us to activate today. So what do we know about God's plan that we
