I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Does God play favorites? Does he have some people he just prefers or some that are just born more special or have preferential treatment.

I think the spiritual answer he would say is no, but the answer we might give if we were being

totally honest is, I don't know, maybe, sure feels like it sometimes. I want to talk about this

candidly on the show today.

I remember having a conversation with a girlfriend one time, and she was expressing frustration because another friend of hers always seemed like everything she touched turned to gold.

I mean, she always got what she wanted.

Her finances were in great shape.

In fact, she had plenty of money and just kept getting more.

It seemed like she was beautiful and had a great money and just kept getting more. It seemed like

she was beautiful and had a great body and was popular in a lot of circles. And my friend just didn't

understand how she got everything in her words. And I can understand because I have known people like

this and it just seems like any idea they have or investment they make or whatever is the right one and their kids are

perfect and their cars are perfect and just seems like God sure blessing them more than maybe he is

me. And I think this is where a lot of our trouble with envy and jealousy comes in if I'm being

honest. I think the first thing to be clear on is that the Bible makes it clear that God has and shows

zero favoritism.

Romans 1211 can't say it any clearer, literally, for God does not show favoritism.

He absolutely does not.

I mean, just even common sense think about it, he created all of us.
