and do that. We're going to be talking about jealousy today, and this is a big struggle, I think,

for all people. Women definitely struggle with it, and yes, it creeps into our friendships,

it to and even fight it really. Let's have an honest conversation about it. Can we do that?

A lot of us probably know the story in Genesis 4 about brothers, Kane and Abel, sons of Adam and Eve,

and how one day Cain brought crops as a gift to the Lord, and Abel brought best portions of the

firstborn lambs, and how the Bible says that the Lord accepted Abel and his gift, but he did not

accept Cain and his. And this made Cain very angry, and so the Lord asked him about it and why he was angry,

of course, he knew because God knows all. It was because his sacrifice hadn't been accepted

and his brothers had. And it says that the Lord told him, listen, do what's right and I'll also

accept you because Kane suffered from a heart problem. And then he said this,

but if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out because sin is crouching at the door,

eager to control you. You must subdue it and be its master. Some strong counsel from the

Lord there on where for Kane to take his feelings and his jealousy really

towards his brother, lest it consume him. Well, if you know the story, you know that Kane did not do

what the Lord suggested, but in fact got Abel out in the fields and while out there attacked him
