One of the greatest tools of a leader is the ability to change your state. Sometimes we have to get ourselves into a state that’s less desirable to be able to embrace change. The only constant in this world is change, and most people spend more energy avoiding change than it takes to embrace it.

So when it comes to changing your state,

it's something that has talked about quite a bit in the personal growth community.

If you've ever followed Tony Robbins or a lot of these people

talk about the idea of changing your state

or getting into a different state,

which is the idea of forcing ourselves and transmutating the energy inside of ourselves

from a low frequency state into a higher, more empowered state. And the idea and practice

of that is very, very helpful. But the challenges that state

changes oftentimes don't last. And sometimes what is even more important, rather than forcing

ourselves into a certain state, right, to try to change what is actually present or going on inside of ourselves,

sometimes what we need to do is move into a state that is potentially less desirable.

And the reality is that sometimes at certain periods or seasons in our life,

there is no avoiding this. Okay, and we can spend a ton of

energy avoiding something that is inherently going to come no matter what. We'll spend all this

energy thinking about the problem, trying to avoid it, trying to not think about it, checking out using substances

or whatever our vice is to ignore the situation, trying to make the situation different than it is.

And we spend a lot of energy avoiding something, but any of that energy that we spend,

mentally, physically avoiding something something will ultimately be wasted
