What's the what's the movie?

It's going to be really obvious ones.

Is it one of the Batman movies where there's an Ebert character?

Godzilla.

Or it's Godzilla.

Oh, right.

It's the 90s.

I wish it was a better movie.

One of, like, like, it's such an emblematic 90s blockbuster.

And, you know, it's got this weird, like, unipolar world shit where there's that whole

subplot with the French, but then also, I think it's one of like the worst blockbusters,

like, ever made possibly.

I think in some ways, give or take Independence Day by the same director.

I've never seen Independence Day. I think, though,

Godzilla may be the quintessential 90s blockbuster, just in the kind of Adam Curtis sense of the term,

you know, like the movie that most embodied kind of the ambient fears and anxieties of the time,

the movie that just captured the spirit in the air, as well as embodying, you know, all the bad ways, the bad blockbusters were made at that time.

With that movie, Godzilla, you remember, like, the Taco Bell Chihuahua more than you remember, like, the movie.

Or, like, you didn't grow up in a city, so you may not have seen like the ad campaign that was like every bus that

summer had a oh and it's like a big foot right every every bus had a billboard on the side of it that

said his foot is the size of this bus or like every building had you know a big sign that said he is

as tall as this building godzilla size does matter you know we're making fun of this as a blockbuster, but, you know, I bet you in the next
