Well, that was interesting.

We just got off the phone with a Reuters journalist.

She is a journalist for the automotive industry and tech sector in San Francisco, and contacted us to talk about Waymo.

Well, autonomous cars, Waymo, who's fascinating, and as you can probably imagine, it got a bit ranty.

I think she was a little surprised.

Well, it's hard to talk about one small area of the autonomous industry without bringing up Tesla.

And I dare everybody to talk about electric cars without bringing up Tesla.

True.

And in a good way, they have forced the entire automotive industry to pivot and shift focus and re-evaluate their entire company strategy.

Which actually is a good thing.

It's just some companies are starting to do it right.

Other companies are still going, what's all this then?

Well, yeah, the fact that autonomous cars and electric cars are even in the general public consciousness is entirely due to the success of Tesla.

And the fact that they gave away their patents early on all that kind of stuff, they have wrenched the industry that direction.

We just got done shooting those.
