I'm your host Bobby Skinner here with my co host Justin Pennick and it is our annual 4th of July mailbag. So this I always give this this disclaimer at the beginning of this episode is like if you just all you care about is

Johnny's analysis just turn the podcast off now because this is a mailbag we do every year 4th of July Friday before 4th of July where we just take questions about us personally hypotheticals all that stuff. You'll see it in the question. Just just how are you?

Hey Bobby Skinner, how are you? Danny King, how are you? Snacks, how are you? It's one of the best episodes of the year. We kind of get to kick our feet back, talk about some personal stuff, catch up with some buddies, catch up with some friends and celebrate America.

Yeah, we got Danny King obviously and then Nikki snacks with us so they'll be joining us. It's kind of like an episode of Simple Man Radio which we have a question about. So we'll get into to all of that.

The Giants announced their training camp schedule which we were all very much looking forward to and I'll be honest I was kind of depressed. Now the 9 practices instead of 11 like last year but that makes sense because they're being a traveling to Detroit which I think we're going to go to Detroit. Pretty confident we're going to go to Detroit.

But they ruined the fan fest like just flood out ruined like and fan fest at least for me was like honestly my favorite event my favorite thing of the year to do for talking Giants was fan fest. I think it's a perfect thing that they did. It was before the preseason game. Everyone's yearning to get back. It's a tailgate environment. You go watch the scrimmers. They do fireworks at the end. I mean it was just like it was just the most enjoyable time to be a fan. Obviously winning games and stuff is most enjoyable.

It's like no stress you go there have a good time. You know we did our show out there we're going to have trying to get players out there this year. And not only did they move it back 18 like their last practices August 6. They move it back 18 days to August 24th which is after two preseason games two days before the preseason so you're not going to have as much enthusiasm for that once they start playing preseason games. But they're not even going to do a scrimmage so we're not going to do a fan fest event this year which was sucks because that's literally my favorite thing to do.

And I think everyone echoed the sentiment. It's like well you didn't give us any reason to go to this event now which is like you like I know it's free but if you're going to have the people there making concessions and stuff you might as well do something like no one's going to go no one is going to go.

Yeah it does suck and you can even say well you content people want to just do and film stuff no that's not not really not really the point.

You know it would be the way to be we kick off the season it would be the way that we would kick off the year and we would get together and you know there were you know there there's sometimes a little bit of a stronger fan presence at.

Fan fest and at MetLife at least how rowdy we are and how into it we are at fan fest that it is for like the first preseason game especially even if you get down to that third preseason game too so it was the best thing and we've praised the giants over the last two years yeah they got it so right so right.

And they took it away and it really is a it really is a shame and that's not even the worst thing if they just took it away it's like they like whatever but they just they made it to something where no one's going to go.

Yeah I still think like parents can take their kids and whatever whatever whatever it's a free it's a free night at MetLife say we're a movie showing but you're not going to attract.

Giants fans you know Giants fans want to see you're going to get autographed secrets that's it yeah it's it's a listen but they here's the thing is they still did that at the other one so they were able to.

To do that you know and also like you didn't have to do like a full on scrimmage either I would have taken a walk through like honestly I didn't go full on scrimmage in 20 with with judge like they did a little bit of it but like last like last season was a full on scrimmage he will go well guys got hurt all the practices to and if you're not comfortable playing on your own freaking fields then that's a bad thing so.

Yeah not fun not great so I'm just I was really sad because I was looking for it was like you know I was looking for to the training campsite looking for him like.

Oh god they ruined the most exciting anything that we get to do with like our community members is my favorite thing like is my favorite aspect of like my job that is my favorite thing to do and then unfortunately just one of those things has been.

Remove doff of our calendar but Bobby Skinner we have a fourth of July mail back and I am excited that there are nine dates good news is will be at every single practice will be live streaming after so.
