We're back from South by Southwest, the Music Conference in Texas,

and we're going to bring you our report from Austin sharing all our

favorite bands. That's all coming up to sound opinions. I'm Jim Deregadis. And I'm Greg Kot and we are here at the

South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas.

31st time, this has taken over the Texas capital, Greg.

My 26th year in a row here, covering the festival.

27th for me, Jim.

It's unbelievable.

You're older than me. Two centuries worth.

And why do we come here, Greg? We come here because this is the biggest music conference in North America. 2,000 plus bands are descending on

Austin this week in addition to tens of thousands of music industry types as well as tech industry types converging on this town

to hold panels and to see band showcases to get contracts signed to get deals made

and to pontificate about the future of the industry. There's a lot of that.
