I want something peppy, something happy, something up-temple, I want something peppy something happy something up temple I want something snappy. While we've never been stranded on a desert island, we're always prepared with a

jukebox full of songs we couldn't live without.

And so are our guests.

that you and I both loved at last year's

South by Southwest Music Conference. But first, you and I are going to take a

swim out to that proverbial Desert Island pop a quarter than Desert Island

jukebox and play a song. The artists who have been on our show cannot live without.

You know, Greg, the Desert Island Jukebox is a game I think as old as popular music and jukeboxes itself.

Lots of people sit around and say, what would you put in the jukeboxes itself. Lots of people sit around and say what would you put in the

jukebox if you could only bring one song or or ten songs or whatever. You know

you're stranded on the desert island the question of how electricity is there to run the jukebox never gets answered.

We generally hog the Desert Island jukebox ourselves, but when we have time and the artist is not rushing out to make a sound check or a flight,

we like to play the game with artists who are particularly articulate because they're all music

lovers, right?

And everybody suddenly is transported to that 13 or 14 year old boy or girl

sitting in the basement playing each other records they're excited about.
