Summary

Today on the podcast Havilah is coming to you from Brazil! We’re staying on the topic of transition as many of you have been responding to these podcasts saying that they have helped you through your transition. Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.” Without faith, it is impossible to please God. It is impossible to please God by living a life worthy of the calling you have received (Ephesians 4:1) without living in faith. Living with the assurance of the things we have not yet seen is truly pleasing to God. You know that this is what you’re supposed to do, and you’ve gone far enough that you can’t go back but if we don’t have the right balance, the right effort and the right momentum we won’t make it, we will fall over. Many of us are right in the middle. We’re not going back; we’re not in the full calling and momentum of what the next season holds but being in that spot is FAITH. Faith is that space of what we once knew and what we know to be true. It feels like pausing, waiting and not knowing where we’re heading. That’s normal, so don’t change your motivation and direction. Go forward! Faith is not a feeling; it is an assurance. Without the assurance that the next season is coming, you cannot please God. The more we live in faith, the more hope we will have for the future. If you’re in transition today, know that faith is that weird pause, that in between. But don’t let your brain wander, don’t let your emotions dominate because you can’t enjoy the journey that way. Set your mind on God and let the Word of God surround you. You will get there, just keep going forward.

0:39.8	We are leaders. We love the Lord. We've been serving him faithfully for many, many years.
0:46.2	And so sometimes we assume that when someone maybe has a little bit ahead of us,
0:52.4	that it just is easier. It's easier for them, clearly, because, well, they've been given
0:57.7	like some superpower and they don't have to do real life like we do, which is totally not true.
1:05.7	Life is life. Feelings are feelings. Decisions are decisions and risk is risk.
1:12.4	No matter how you look at it, no matter what shape or size they come in, it's just transition.
1:18.9	And so today I wanted to take you again on this journey. Last week, Ben joined me.
1:23.9	So if you missed that podcast, jump back over and listen to that one, because that was kind of like
1:28.8	our conversation between the two of us about transition. But lately, this last week,
1:35.2	I've been thinking a lot about this transition. September 1st was my first official day
1:41.3	of my transition, my new season. And the Lord has been speaking in my heart so clearly.
1:48.0	And if you have done my prophetic personality course, you'll understand that I'm not a hearer.
1:53.6	I'm a knower. So when God says something to me, I take note because I don't hear him say
1:59.9	very many things to me in phrases. And one of the things the Holy Spirit has been saying to me
2:06.0	consistently is reminding me of the scripture, Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1. And faith is the assurance.
