One of the things about

one of the things about education that we're trying to do with our kids is we're trying to

help them understand how to become educated people, how to be lifelong learners.

That seems to be the catchphrase in homeschool all the time.

And because of that nefarious ghost of public school

past who lives on your shoulder and is constantly whispering in your ear, we are sometimes tempted to

separate the academics from the rest of life.

We treat it like they're two different things.

But what brain research is showing is that we are actually living systems.

The person that we are has all kinds of components that contribute to the learning experience.

And so what we want to do is tap into those and then see the fruit, which is learning that

automatically happens.
