Summary

Your morning routine is KEY for owning your day. Back in Episode 16, I spoke with Craig Ballantyne about his Perfect Day Formula and we discussed the importance of a morning routine. Today, I am diving deeper with this concept and sharing exactly how to format your Miracle Morning, based on Hal Elrod’s book, “The Miracle Morning: The Not So Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life Before 8am.”   This book was transformative for me, so I knew it was well worth sharing with you. Hal has a specific (awesome) formula for The Miracle Morning that can easily be adapted to a 6-60 minute routine that will allow you to start your day on the right foot, every damn day.    I have been practicing elements of Hal’s protocol since January and I love it. In this episode I will tell you Hal’s exact Miracle Morning formula and how any mom can tweak this formula to make it work for you and your family.    You need a Miracle Morning routine for 3 important reasons:   1. How you start the day impacts your entire day (remember: how you do anything is how you do everything) 2. You will accomplish a lot more and ENJOY it all if you start your day from a place of being PROactive rather than REactive  3. This routine will create opportunities for growth in multiple areas of your life   I challenge you to start with a 15 minute Miracle Morning practice right away. And you have to let me know how it goes! What kind of legacy are you building? So let's dive in. Hello, shameless moms. I'm excited to

0:33.0

be here today and I want to just give myself a little pat on the back because I'm recording a day earlier

0:37.8

than I usually do. I've gotten in the horrible habit of waiting to the last minute of the week

0:43.6

to record episodes for the upcoming week, which leads to stress and anxiety on my part.

0:51.4

And it's actually, like, I used to be the kind of person who did everything way in

0:56.2

advance. So like if a teacher assigned some sort of homework assignment and said like, okay,

0:59.6

you need to write this paper and it's due in like three weeks. I would go home and start working

1:03.5

on it that day and I would have it done in a week and a half. I lived my life like that through

college. And then something happened in my 20s. And when I went back to school for personal

1:11.7

training, I still did very well in school. I was still a high achiever, but I did everything at the last

1:17.5

minute and just did what I needed to do. Like I made sure I did enough to get the A, but I didn't do it

1:22.6

well in advance. And somehow I've continued at that rate, like not doing things way in advance unless I really

1:28.6

have to.

1:29.4

Or a lot of times I intend to do things way in advance, but it just doesn't happen.

1:32.9

And I think that that happens with motherhood and chaos in your life is that you have the
