orbit tick. At APF, we are fortunate enough to break bread with some of the country's brightest minds.

And when you listeners join us at our events, you usually have lots of questions for our

participants. Our panelists, artists in residence, and our other collaborators all tell us

how gratifying it is to connect with you. And that feedback is how

this series was born. We're taking all of the frequently asked questions from our in-person

gatherings, and we're posing them to some of our most interesting allies for this series of

quick conversations. Today's episode features anti-racist lecturer and author

Tim Weiss. Tim was an MVP at this year's Critical Race Theory Summer School, my team's virtual

event with a live kickoff on Martha's Vineyard. He made a fiery contribution to our panel

called Banning Black Knowledge and the Anti-Woke

Assault on Black Freedom Dreams. And he hosted summer school breakout sessions on anti-racism,

including a very popular session on how extremists and enablers endanger Black studies.

Tim really lived with us for the whole week. He joined our team in our cozy

cottage and stayed up late with us, scripting and putting the finishing touches on this year's

program. There's no better way to get to know a person than spending that much time under that

much joyful pressure under the same roof.
