Dr. Cortez is a professor at the National Institute for Health and Care Research and a professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Southampton in the UK.

He is also an adjunct professor here in the U.S. at NYU.

We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Cortesi with us today to share his research

and expertise. Dr. Cortesi is considered one of the world's most influential researchers in the

field of psychiatry and psychology. His work in neurodevelopmental disorders and ADHD in particular

is cited worldwide.

Dr. Cortesi was the lead author on a study that was just published on the efficacy of ADHD interventions.

A database of those interventions was created to accompany the study to help adults and families in their treatment decisions.

Dr. Cortesi is also the chair of the European ADHD Guidelines Group, and he is on the

committee here in the U.S. that is working to develop the first ever clinical guidelines to

diagnose and treat adults with ADHD. Those guidelines are expected to be released next year.

Today, Dr. Cortesi will discuss the latest research on cardiovascular health and ADHD medication use
