Hi, this is David Platt.

0:07.2

I want to thank you for praying God's word with us through this podcast and I want to let you know that this series

0:16.9

of pray the word is a little different from what you may be used to as far as

0:21.8

just taking a book of the Bible and going chapter by chapter

0:26.0

successively one after the other so I want to give you a little context about

0:30.3

what pray the word is going to look like. The church that I have the privilege of

0:34.3

pasturing, McLean Bible Church in Greater Washington, D.C. is reading and studying through the

0:40.9

0:49.2

that's six days a week where we will cover the story of scripture chronologically.

0:54.9

So we'll go from Genesis to Revelation, but along the way we will be looking at different parts

1:24.4

chapter in the Bible so over the course of this Bible reading plan we won't read

1:28.6

every single chapter in scripture so we will be hitting select texts and they will be in

1:35.1

chronological order so not necessarily in the order in which we see them in our

1:40.7

Bible for example in the table of contents.

1:43.0

But I hope it will be helpful for you as you track along.

1:46.2

You're obviously welcome to join in the Bible reading plan

1:49.8

that we're walking through if you'd like.
