Now without further ado, let's jump right into these creepy and allegedly true, lost in the woods horror stories that will freak you out tonight.

When I was best guess eight years old, I visited my cousins at their house across the neighborhood.

Being a group of bored children we decided to bring my cousins neighbor Jaden on a hike through a massive area of woods behind our house.

We set off, stepping over a poison ivy and making our way over to an abandoned paintball place in the middle of the woods.

We explored the nooks and crannies of the site, eventually wandering into the hills and streams of the Michigan wilderness.

We were having fun and having hiked almost a four mile from where we began.

An odd thing to note before I continue is that the ground was covered entirely in garbage.

You could barely take a step without stepping in old plastic bags or discarded tins of instant potatoes or something of that nature.

We joked that maybe there was a neighborhood back there at one point but now it seems evident that this was nothing but an old drug hangout or a place where hobos lived and we never thought much of it.
