Welcome back everybody to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell.

This is our third episode of our book clubs walk through the short list nominees for best novel from the

hugos in the nubulas and you're saying well wait a second don't they hand out the hugos

in august friends they usually do but not this year this year they're handing them out in

December so we took our time we uh we are going to talk about two of those novels the last two that we haven't talked about in our two previous episodes we're also going to talk about two of those novels, the last two that we haven't talked about

in our two previous episodes.

We're also going to talk about

the Hugo nominees for short fiction,

some of which you can probably find on the internet,

which is kind of nice because you can go read them yourself.

I mean, you can find everything on the internet,

but some of this stuff is actually out there for free.

Others, you will need to pay for, of course, but they're still on the internet.

And at the end, of course, we'll talk about stuff that we've read recently that we liked,

and I'm going to make my panelists rank the Hugo nominee novels from best to worst,

because I mean that way.

And they're the people you expect.
