I'm your host, Jason Snell, and this is the end of the summer of Spielberg.

A theme that we've been running for the last couple of months

that I decided, I guess I get really sucked in by the alliteration of it. And I was like,

yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's cover lots of Steven Spielberg movies, not all of them,

but the ones that sort of fit within our charter. and hanging out there in the distance as a threat

as a warning was what if I looked for my white whale? What if I what if I dared to discuss a movie

that is beloved in the hearts of people who were a kid when it came out,

widely disliked by the critics of the time.

And I hated it, hated, hated, hated it, hated it, and have not revisited it since.

1991's hook and and what i want to say now is no we're not going to do it good night everybody

but that's not true we are going to do it we're going to talk about hook um i did watch it for the second time in preparation for this. And you know what? It's really long.
