playing the world-famous cavern club, and almost getting in a bar fight with Noel

Gallagher from Oasis.

I was in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I was going to school there for my Ph.D. in anthropology.

I got an offer from a promoter that he offered me a slot.

Got to play the cavern club.

So I went to tell my supervisors, and I said, look, I got this gig at the cavern club.

It's on like a Thursday night.

Can I get out of the seminar the next day?

And he's like, yeah, but you got to be back for the seminar. And I was like, jeesh, that's going to suck.
