You know, if we flew in and the aircraft was down, their job was to go out and destroy

the aircraft, destroy any equipment that was there and bring back any survivors, which

there never were any survivors.

But yeah, you're right.

It is the first time that I was actually faced with anything like that.

And you always wonder how you react, but I tell you, especially because I was so new,

you're scared to death, you're going to forget something.

You know, obviously with three people being dead and the suspect standing there holding

again when you show up, you want to do everything right because people's families are involved.

You don't want to miss something up.

So you're so concentrating on making sure you take photographs of everything, making

sure people stand back out of the crime area.

And it had happened like maybe 20 minutes before I got there.

So there were probably close to 100 people standing around.

So there's just so much to think about that you don't really think about that till later

on, you know, way after the case is over with and you start thinking about the impact

that that has on the individuals that were involved.
