Molly Seidel
Molly grew up in Lakeland, WI where she attended University Lake School. While in high school, Molly was the recipient of numerous national titles including the Gatorade National Female Cross Country Runner of the Year and the winner of the 2011 Footlocker National Cross Country Championships. She won 12 state titles in cross country and track. Molly was invited to the Bupa Great Edinburgh International Challenge in Scotland where she placed third in the 4K and was the first USA high school finisher. Molly graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2016, where she was a 4-time NCAA Champion. She made her professional debut at the 2017 USATF Road 5k Championships Abbott Dash to the Finishline 5k, finishing second. Molly qualified to represent Team USA at the 2018 Great Edinburgh International Cross Country in Scotland where she led the team to 3rd place by finishing third in the 6 km. In 2018, Molly placed 2nd place at the 2018 USA Cross Country Championships. Molly trains in Flagstaff, AZ and is sponsored by Saucony.

I'm just trying to maximize my gains up here. Well, we are trying to figure out, though, like how you have been able to train through this. You know, a lot of times when you're sick, you got to figure it out, like, is it going to, you know, make you more sick? Is it going to keep the sickness around longer? Like, do you take days off or do you try to run easy through it? Or how do you go about it? Yeah, no, it was actually kind of funny. Yesterday, I ran in the morning and then we're just feeling really really really bad all afternoon. I had like a shakeout. |
| 1:45.8 | And so I went out on it and was just feeling terrible. And so like I probably didn't even get like a mile into it. |
| 1:53.5 | I was like, this is stupid. Like I'm going to get more benefit about going home. So I literally just like watch back to the house. |
