podcasts may sound a bit critical of my own profession of journalism and in some respects it is. I will

say and I often say there are many great journalists out there and there is great

journalism being conducted. Some of the great journalists and outlets are listed in the final chapter of my new book

Slanted, which I hope you'll pre-order anywhere. But the fact is, we all know journalism isn't being practiced the way it was just a few years ago.

As flawed as it was back then, at least there were some agreed upon ethical standards and practices

designed to ensure accuracy, which have all pretty much flown out the window

now. That's what we're going to talk about today in the context of the latest police shooting of a black suspect,

Jacob Blake.
