Hello, my name's Justin the Klu, and I'm here today with Will Sloan.

And today, we're going to be talking about British comedies, but we have a very special guest with us today.

It's Alex West.

We offered you a choice to pick what you wanted to talk about, and why did you pick British comedies?

My father's British, and there was a saying that I heard a while ago that there's nothing more British than a British man outside of his home country.

And that very much applies to my father.

So the films we're going to talk about today are films that I was, like, raised on.

Like, I was so

little and I would just like watch them again and again and again. And they mean a lot to me.

And I think they come out of a really interesting era of England's history. I think they come out

of a kind of weird indie filmmaking thing. I think handmade films, which is George Harrison's company, had done a lot of really

interesting work.

And they exist in this kind of beautiful little vacuum.

And I have a great fondness for them.

So the first question I have to ask to everyone is, how obsessed were you with Monty Python?

I was obsessed with Monty Python growing up.

It's the perfect sort of thing for a kid because it seems very intellectual, but it's also got

guys in dresses and like Terry Gilliam's animation and that sort of thing. I was definitely the sort of

kid who like had all, had the book of the scripts and had all

the sketches memorized.

I saw Monty Python's Holy Graeme.

Actually, the first one I saw was Meaning of Life, which is a bad first Monty Python film
