What is this newfangled internet that you guys speak of?

You've been without the internet.

You've been living in like 1980 for a bit.

No, I mean, without internet access, you're like, I wonder what's on, I wonder if Jeopardy is on.

I mean, you joke.

Oh, I like that skinny microphone that Bob Barker uses.

I don't know what it is, but if it's like any of the skinny microphones I remember from my childhood,

yeah, I might well do.

So just for the listeners' benefit, the reason we're late this week is my internet hub,

but router, router died, and I have been without internet. And despite protestations

to British Telecom, it has taken me three days to get back online. So I've been living off

public Wi-Fi that I could only get if I went and sat in my garden.

So only did it for a small, oh, plus my other router would work for 15 minutes at a time.

And then I'd have to reset it and turn it off a 15 minutes minimum before trying it again.

So you could check email.

You just couldn't reply.

Well, it became so painful.

I mean, our lights are connected to our internet hub.

So I had to wait to do the resetty thing in order to change the lights in the house.

So there were set periods of the day where I could adjust lights, check emails, and do all the other things.
