What's going on everybody and welcome back for another episode of Trigger. This is Triggered.

This is Trigger. It's number 575 here on Thursday, September 11th, 2020. And it's a very sad and somber day here in the United States for multiple reasons. Obviously, it's the 24th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001.

But just yesterday on September 10th, I think the country lost a great American, someone who was really a

leader of a new generation of conservatism, and he was brutally politically assassinated for the sin of having

an altering opinion and daring to talk to people. Of course, we're talking about Charlie Kirk

here, someone who fought for us, fought alongside us.

And really it's a sad, devastating loss for the country.

You know, everyone I know is just very upset, very angry.

There's been a lot of tears, a lot of emotions over basically the last 24 hours.

We were actually about to sit down and record yesterday, on Wednesday,

when I got called into a quick and prompting meeting,

and 15 minutes later, passes, and I hear out in the newsroom

that there was shots fired at a Charlie Kirk event.

And, you know, of course, you hope for the best, but unfortunately,

Charlie was hit, and, you know, it was a very, very sad afternoon yesterday. But the outpouring of

support and prayers for Charlie has been something really incredible to see.

He touched so many people's lives, so many people that, you know, essentially came up in politics,

got jobs because of him.

He started so many careers.

He helped so many people of the years.

So many people were touched positively by Charlie.

And in a way that really I don't think could be quantified.
