We can't get a hold of her. No one knows what's going on. You know, first thing I did once I hung up was called Melly. And called her and didn't, you know, didn't answer. I texted her, hey, are you okay? Hey, what's going on? I figured, you know, at this point, no one knows what's going on. No one knows if it's somebody went in there and shot a bunch of people.

You know, it's kind of hard to follow. I'm following along on Twitter. Got a phone call from Trader Joe's, and they were saying, oh, well, you know, we can tell you that your sister's been shot. She said, we don't know if she's made it or not. Today on the show, Albert Carrado shares the story about his sister, Melly, who was killed at Trader Joe's.

Today I'm here with a really interesting guy, Albert Carrado, who I met on Twitter.

1:38.5

Yes, of all places. Which I really, I like that.

1:43.7

Yeah, I think social media, I've met a lot of people, someone through Twitter and then some through, a lot through Instagram.

1:45.2

Yeah.

2:17.7

Like you just find people who are into the same things as you are and you can someday meet them and become part of their lives. It's very interesting how that works. I think it is too. I think the whole, I like social media, but then I guess I'm a social person, so maybe that makes sense. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, but social media can be so horrible sometimes, you know, it can be, you know, reading whatever this person said or that person. And there's a really dark underbelly to it, but I, like, some of my close friends I have met through, we just like the same things and I found them on Instagram and now we're like friends. It's a beautiful thing. I think it's a beautiful thing and I also think that like people's personality shake down in social media

2:23.3

like you can't really hide so the trolls the crazy people the people who come at you they were

2:31.4

always jerks yeah now they have a platform or many many platforms now have Facebook and Instagram, and that's the dark part of it, but I think... Yeah, but if you block them, like I block them, and I pay it no mind. I don't, it just goes right past me. It's like throwing, you know, feathers at me. It doesn't, I don't even think twice, you know what I mean? Right. And I block all the time.

2:50.9

Do you block people? I, you know, I do. I haven't, fortunately, even with all that's been going on, I haven't really had, um, had to, but I've done it before it. It's, it's definitely puts your mind at ease because yeah, sometimes if you're looking through a chain of stuff you just see the most vile people and

3:07.5

if i get called the c word which now and then people are crazy right uh i report them okay and then they

3:15.2

will get like a 24 hour like i get the email that says you know so-and-so has a 24-hour hold on their

3:20.9

account and i think ha ha you know i i don't know it gives me a little bit of

3:25.3

yeah I mean what sometimes though like I and I've learned this through um through starting different

3:30.6

amazons to get Amazon Prime free for a month is you just start a new email right away and then start a new

3:35.5

Twitter and it's it's unfortunate that like there's really no way to track that and I've benefited from

3:39.7

it because I'm like oh I get Amazon Prime for months for free and get two-day shipping and and watch TV shows on there but
