Here's Paul and Shelby answering the question,

where was God in the darkest moment of my life?

Can I ask you inevitably I get pushback when I talk about this kind of stuff in front of

students and they say, okay, that sounds great, but let me ask you, what about the woman

who's on the college campus who has been sexually assaulted when she comes up and says, where was God's protecting grace in that moment?

Now, of course, you want to answer emotion with emotion instead of emotion with logic.

And so if someone's saying that as a personal thing, you don't want to like give them cold comfort in those moments.

And sometimes people are asking just as like a let me ask a gotcha kind of question.

But what would you say to the person? Maybe they're far removed from that experience and they can receive

the truth of scripture? How would you answer that question? Where was God in that moment

when I needed him when he didn't protect me? Which I think is a fair question, right?

Yeah, I do think it's a fair question. I think the danger of the question is that you're tempted

to say things about God's sovereign choices that the Bible doesn't reveal to you. And it would be
