Summary

I have recently shared. A lot.    I’ve told the long story of our IVF journey and ultimately, our IVF failure.    In the process I have learned a lot about the power of sharing our stories.    Sharing stories: * Connects us * Creates bonds where there was not one * Is cathartic and therapeutic * Creates a more empathetic culture * Humanizes everyone * Allows us to not be alone * Destigmatizes all sorts of conditions – infertility, addiction, mental health, death, sex, loss, grief At the end of the day, my life is made up of many stories… My podcast is part of my story. My gym is part of my story. My marriage is part of my story.  My child is part of my story. Divorce is part of my story. Family Estrangement is part of my story. Body image struggle is part of my story. Infertility is part of my story. IVF failure is part of my story. In most cases, the deepest connections I make with other people are from struggles I have shared, not because of a perfect image I have conveyed.   Listen in to this episode to learn how you can start sharing just a little bit more in order to create better relationships, and attract the people you want to attract. I also share a very powerful excerpt from Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton that I think every woman should hear.    Links Mentioned:   My personal Facebook profile:    Learn more about your ad choices. So let's dive in. Hello, shameless moms. So I'm really happy to be here today. I'm really happy

that it's a week later than when I last did a solo episode and

0:55.9

cried my way through it. I'm feeling a lot better. There's still a little bit of sadness and

1:00.9

there's still certainly some emotional waves, but I'm just feeling a lot more level-headed and a

lot stronger and ready to move forward with life a little bit. So what I want to talk about today is

1:12.9

stories and the power of sharing our stories. This episode is inspired directly from my experience

1:18.7

of sharing our IVF story. So I shared a lot of our story and I got so many messages

1:25.9

thanking me for sharing our story, people who could relate to what I

had spoken about, so many women who reached out to me and said, you know, I've been through

something similar. We went through it privately. I didn't talk to anyone. It's so isolating. It's so

depressing. It's so sad. It's so overwhelming. All those things. And those are all things I experienced
