It's time for our Friday,

two-minute warning edition, brought to you on Fridays and designed to give you something

to think about watch for or do to finish your week strong and maximize your weekend. I'll also

include an occasional red zone rant, but not today. The topic I want to discuss here is don't

be conditional. So often we don't do the right thing or we stop doing the right thing because nobody

recognizes it. Nobody pats us on the back. Nobody says thank you. Nobody kisses our ring or some

other part of our anatomy. And I'm just telling you, don't be conditional. Don't make doing what is

right, what is kind, what is positive, courteous, or going the second mile contingent, don't make it conditional on someone

thanking you or recognizing you. Just do it because it's the right thing to do, because it's who

you are. Do it because it forms your character. It shapes your attitude. It builds your reputation.

It elevates your self-esteem. Don't stop doing what's right because someone else doesn't say anything good about it.

Do it because that's your expectation for yourself.

If they notice, that's great.

It's nice.

It's not necessary.

Should they notice?

Should they say thanks?

Yes, they should.

But should you stop doing it because they don't.
