Hello there and welcome to The Bowry Boys. My name is Greg Young.

And I'm Tom Myers.

And we're going to give you a very austere, high-minded episode.

Yes, we are going uptown, if you will, or at least in upper midtown, for an evening at Carnegie Hall.

We have our tuxes on with our white gloves, a night of classical music, jazz, opera.

You'll be hearing a lot of different musical styles in this episode because a lot,

with through Carnegie Hall, we'll tell you some about, of course, its founder, Andrew Carnegie,

as well as many men and women who worked behind the scenes into getting this significant

performance space up and running.

Right. It may be named after Mr. Carnegie, but several other people came and touched the project,

you could say, in stages.

Yeah, oh, thank you.

And on those stages, every single person who is an iconic figure of music,

of all different kinds of music, has performed at Carnegie Hall.

That's a pretty steep climb, Greg.
