Proverbs chapter 4 verses 7 and 8

the beginning of wisdom is this. Get wisdom.

And whatever you get, get insight.

Prize her highly and she will exalt you.

She will honor you if you embrace her.

I love the way verse 7 starts.

Here's the beginning of wisdom, you think, okay, what's the beginning of wisdom?

And then the answer is get wisdom. In other words, it's wise to seek wisdom.

That's the beginning.

Asking for wisdom, whatever you get, the proverb says, get insight.

Like think about when you use that kind of language,

like whatever you do, do this, like that's saying,

like everything else aside, this is most important.

Like there's all kinds of good things,

but that you could do, but whatever you do,

make sure to do this.

Like if you're sending somebody to a place

and you know they really need to see this.

You're like, whatever you do, don't miss this.

And this is what God through his word is saying.

Whatever you get, like in this world, there's so many things you could get.
