As we mature in faith, we don't go from dependence to independence, but the opposite.

Grace works to make independent people willing to't designed to make it on our own.

Psalm 127 is a wisdom psalm. It confronts us with the insanity of loading all the

burdens of life on our shoulders and trying to make on our own. This psalm is attributed to Solomon

and is an expose of the foolishness of self-sufficient living.

Let me read Psalm 127.

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city,

the watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,

eating the bread of anxious toil, for he gives his beloved sleep.

Behold children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb or reward,

like arrows on the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.

Blessed the man who fills his quiver with him,

he shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. Now this is important to understand. As we mature in faith, we don't go from dependence to independence but the opposite.
