Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell.

Nine years ago, John and Syracusa and I met alone, just the two of us, for episode 84 of the incomparable,

478 episodes ago to discuss all the films of Hayao Miyazaki, many of which I hadn't seen,

which is really good, puts John to the advantage, quite frankly.

But then what happened after that is that we set about to watch all of them.

And we've seen all 11 feature films directed by Hayao Miyazaki. We even threw in a movie that he didn't direct, and yet we called it Miyazaki Club anyway, which seems like cheating now.

But we did it. So it's too late now to go back on that.

Anyway, we are here to say goodbye to Miyazaki Club, essentially, but I didn't want to let it end

with our last episode. I wanted to round back around to do yet another episode that is about all the films of Haya Miyazaki

with more than just John Syracusa now.

The graduating class of Miyazaki Club is three people.

It's a very small graduating class.

It's kind of a weed out class.

Everybody else had senioritis.

They're off doing something else.

of course, back with me, 478 episodes and nine years later. Hi, John. Yeah, second time's the charm,

I guess. Yeah, just going to keep doing this one until we get it right. And my fellow graduates here,
