My name is Zach Schombler, this is Strong Opinion Sports episode 562. Welcome in. Today we're

going to talk all about the preseason, particularly about quarterbacks in the preseason.

This is not going to be a recap of week one.

I don't really care who won or lost.

I don't really care.

There's a lot of things that the pre-season gives to us that I think aren't necessarily valuable or interesting.

But I want to share what stood out to me. I love the

preseason for one thing. I love love love getting an opportunity to watch

quarterbacks play that we otherwise may not normally see Drew Lock

Dorian Thompson Robinson. Now of course some starting

quarterbacks did play this past weekend. We'll talk about that a lot but

like watching Malik Cunningham was one of my favorite things of the

whole weekend. He had a final drive against the Patriots.

He was outstanding and it made me go,

who do they play in the next two preseason games?

When do we get to watch Malik Cunningham play again?

I love that thing about the preseason. I love getting to watch these guys that we don't normally see.

Now we're going to talk about starting quarterbacks, although I want to qualify things by saying this.

The preseason does not give us a perfect representation of the teams we will see week one.

Not all the starters are playing, some guys are missing, some guys are out.
