Welcome to Grumpy Old Geeks, I'm Jason DeFilippo. And I'm Brian Schultmeister.

Has the vacay going Brian? Well, one week of vacay, that's done already. Now it's work and whatever.

I've got to say travel. Oh boy, if you don't have to fly anywhere, don't. That's fun, eh?

That was a nightmare. That was the worst. It's ever been sat on the tarmac for over two hours delayed

to leave. Getting through customs and everything. I mean, everything is just a nightmare now. It took

forever. But, you know, we have to count ourselves lucky because we were one of the flights that wasn't

canceled. There were thousands of those pilot shortage, which is partially COVID, partially they've

known it for a long time because they don't pay people enough. And now, you know, the chickens

are coming home to roost, as they say. And, you know, shortages with TSA and all that sort of stuff.

So it was just getting here. It was horrible. Once I got here, it was great though. We drove up the

coast, went up to Monterey and Carmel, took my mom, you know, the kid, all that sort of stuff. It

was a great week. And now I'm back in one of the downsides of working for a company that's on

the East Coast is a, I'm up at like five and six in the morning for meetings. So yeah, that's fun.

Fun times, fun times. Sound like you got a little frog in the throat. Did you,

did you already get the COVID? Since you have been back for a week now.

A lot of time. Well, I, I, funny you mentioned that. That boy, that skyrocketing, isn't it? No,

I think I'm just froggy from being froggy and it's the morning. So that's fun. Yeah, wow. It's,

it's not good here, right? We're about what? A week away from mandatory masking again. If, if,

if I'll level stay where they are right now and I've certainly noticed I'm down here in what I

would call basically, you know, fairly anti masking orange County. Yeah, mandatory masking is through
