so to try to shorten up a little bit, no ads. It is a conversation with Joan, and'm not even going to I can't I can't ruin it for you.

Joan has gone from being a mother to a grandmother back to a mother and then to a D-mom. Now she's a mother of a child with

diabetes. I, uh, this woman is an inspiration. Her story is

sad and upl spectacular and hopeful and wonderful.

So nothing you hear on the Juice Box podcast should be considered

advice, medical or otherwise and I may not even put

up next week so you guys have time because you might have to listen to this in a

sitting or two it's about an hour and 20 minutes long, but very, very worth your time and effort.

Okay, everyone. This is Joan. I met you when you sent me a message and said, Scott, I really like your

podcast and it's helped me a lot. I've been trying to write you an email to tell you that but I keep kind of tripping over myself could we speak on the phone.

Yes, that's right. That is right. And I said of course and we got together and we talked on the phone and then you told me a story that when you were finished I said if you would ever be willing to tell that on the podcast

I think people would find it really interesting and here you are.

Well I was so surprised because I said that part of the conversation is so not related to diabetes.

People who have gotten to know us diabetes.

People who have gotten to know us in the diabetes community have kind of said similar things to what you said,

but I don't see it that way.

So I was, there were so many other things that I and I would listen to

podcast I thought why I'd really like to talk about that today or and when you mentioned the

topic I wanted to talk about I was so surprised.
