Hey, everyone, welcome back to the show.

I just wrapped my big return to D.C. trip last week.

I co-hosted Breaking Points with Krista Ball, and she and I did a nice, long segment debating the abundance agenda and its relationship with the left, which as folks have seen has provoked a lot

of controversy in a bunch of book reviews, podcasts, and other discussions. I've linked that

interview and discussion in the show notes and definitely recommend folks check it out.

I then went to Welcome Fest, which was a big moderate Democratic party gathering to interview

Derek Thompson and Representative Jake OckinCross about the Abundance Agenda.

Hopefully we'll be airing the audio and the video of that conversation later on this month.

And then, from a broader realignment perspective, Steve and my recent episode

on Abundance was shouted out by Asra Klein in his latest column, really reckoning with a lot of

the backlash of disagreements that had come out of Abundance Agenda fights. So Steve came back on the

realignment a little earlier, the normal to unpack all these events with me as we all try

to figure out where the abundance agenda goes

next and get to my broader project of turning this into something that is yes and they can bring

in people who have felt excluded or ignored in the actual debate as we figure out what this

actually looks like moving forward. I'm also going to be back in Portland and so upcoming weekend

hosting dinner with a couple of friends in government focused on the abundance agenda itself.

So this is top of mind.

We will be covering other topics beyond abundance the rest of the month, but I'm excited to keep diving in.

I hope we will get more feedback on this as once again, this all continues to evolve.
