| 0:56.1 | Well, if you are answering in the affirmative of any of those questions, you might be struggling with codependency. |

| 1:05.3 | And we want to talk about it today so you can recognize it and free yourself from it if that's what you need to do in this world |
| 1:12.2 | at this time. Let's get into it. Y'all, here's the deal. I am a Christian. I love Jesus. And I'm also |
| 1:19.8 | a firstborn, all the things that go along with that birth order. And I'm raised in a Christian |
| 1:25.9 | environment. And so there's all these boxes to check about what it means to be a good girl, what it means to love Jesus and how that means that you are kind and considerate and others centered. The problem is that sometimes others centered can go too far, too far where you are not centered enough on what God would have you to do |
| 1:47.3 | with your life and what's a priority in the season of life that you're in. And so there have been |
| 1:52.1 | seasons of my life when I thought that being a good Christian girl meant keeping other people happy. |
| 1:57.8 | And it wasn't that I couldn't find happiness on my own. It's just that if you're |
| 2:02.6 | supposed to have joy, Jesus and others than you, well, everybody else has got to come before you. |
| 2:07.9 | And that messaging can get embedded in the heart of a young girl in a way that she has to |
| 2:12.2 | untangle herself from that over time. And I definitely had to do the work of that for sure. And I'm still working on that |
