Well, hello and welcome everyone.

This is such a sincere honor to be asked to come speak in front of you today.

I'm just really touched and moved to see all of you here.

I'm joined here by my wife Margi and my three of my four children, Anna Winston and Clara.

Maya is in New York.

But we're so happy to be here today.

David, your performance was stunning.

I'm so grateful my kids got a front row seat to your finger work.

I'm so honored.

It's just interesting.

This is not my first time to speak at this pulpit.

In 2011, as Mormon stories, my podcast was really starting to grow, we started thinking about how we could help

non-traditional progressive and post-mormons find a way to meet together.

We actually held a few conferences in this very building where we brought people together and sing together and performed and spoke.

It was a really special time.

It was back in 2011.

You can still see those videos on the internet.

But I remember the time feeling so touched and just sort of confused that there would be a church that would allow people from another tradition or another religion to actually hold services in their church.

That just seemed so wrong.
