| 0:35.4 | She says, poor Percy, I can feel it. Sorry, just kidding. |
| 0:38.6 | That was a great clip. What's good? Thank you so much for tuning into another episode of The Newst Olympian. My name is Mike Schubert. I'm the titular Newst Olympian. I am a 30-year-old man who never read the Percy Jackson books as a kid, but I'm reading them now as an adult because |
| 1:11.2 | I'm on a quest to determine if this is a book series that we've all been sleeping on. And I'm not on |
| 1:15.2 | this quest alone. Today, I am joined by repeat guest and great Twitter follow. It's Jania Stewart, |
| 1:21.0 | Jania, how's it going? It's going great. Very excited to have you back. Been too long. Glad that |
| 1:27.3 | we can solve that issue by getting you back into the mix. |
| 1:30.2 | I had a fun scheduling time trying to get it all to work. |
| 1:33.3 | But here we are, and we're ready to talk about the Titans Curse. |
| 1:36.8 | Now, we haven't talked to you since we instituted the repeat guests, get to answer the fun repeat guest question of, |
| 1:50.5 | have you ever done one of those sorting type quizzes for who your godly parent is? So do you have an answer to this question? |
| 2:01.3 | Yes, actually. I was listening to last week's episode and I was like, I've never taken this quiz ever. I actually did it two days ago. So this worked out really well. But I took it in a set Athena. |
| 2:54.9 | So I was like, ooh, okay. I can see it. I can see it. Now, does this make you feel conflicted since your Twitter handle does say the Lady Artemis? Yes. Are you okay? Is this a, it wasn't like a self-conflictive identity crisis type situation? Yes. I was like, you know, especially because throughout this book, they call Artemis, like, The Lady Artemis, a couple of times where my head just, like, went up, like, ooh. But also, it kind of surprised me. I think I was expecting, like, Apollo or something, because, like, I think one of the questions was, like, what is your favorite art form? And it was like, writing art or something else. And I was like fully expecting like Apollo or something like that. But Athena was a nice consolation. I like it. I think it fits. I'm glad that you picked writing. And I was afraid that you were going to say, what is your favorite art form? And one of them was haikus. And then you picked haikus. I don't think I can write a haiku to, like, save my life. Like, I know we had a unit on it in school. No shade to the haiku originators. But I was like, I don't understand. It doesn't rhyme. |
| 3:01.6 | Maybe I am a poetry goofess. And I have no idea the wonderful joy of the haiku. |
| 3:09.4 | And I'm sure there's impressive origins and all this sort of stuff. |
| 3:12.5 | But I just feel like when you're just going by syllables, I feel very restrictive. |
