You've been following along with my own story this summer.

I am in Ecuador with my family.

This is a place we lived for about a year and a half, starting in 2017 and into 2018.

So we're back visiting for what seems like a small trip is five weeks.

So I'm recording my podcast episodes here in one of the upstairs bedrooms.

So if you hear some trucks going by, you hear some motorcycles, occasional dogs barking,

that's just part of big city, Latin America.

So I'm in Quenka, Ecuador.

Really wonderful place, if you ever get a chance to visit here.

And being here and kind of being far from my normal place in South Carolina with my

properties has made me a little bit philosophical.

I like to think big picture sometimes when I'm looking long distance.

And so the last few episodes have been going big picture and talking about financial independence.

Just two episodes ago and episode number 53, the topic was destination financial independence.

And I basically went over and finally defined what financial independence means to me and also

gave you some alternatives to

just waiting to get to the peak of the mountain where you only can enjoy life when you get to the

very top of your financial independence climb. Actually, there's a lot of milestones and plateaus

along the way. So I talked a lot about that in episode 53. But then I've also had some episodes

where I've gone into some specific unpacking of
