Today's topic is a really important one. It's motivating, motivating our kids. As parents of children with

ADHD and learning disabilities we pretty much know what they need to do and many of

us have read techniques for helping our children succeed in school for structuring homework.

But how do we motivate a child or a teen who simply seems unwilling or unable to focus on the

tasks at hand?

What is going on?

I'm very pleased today to welcome back, Anne Dolan.

Many of you may have heard Anne Session a couple weeks ago,

which was terrific.

She is the president and director of Educational Connections, which is a tutoring

firm based in Virginia. Her website Educational Connections has got some great resources on it. She not only holds a VA in child psychology and advanced

degrees in special ed and learning disabilities, but she is a recognized expert in education

and learning Disability Issues.

She has worked probably with over 20 years of teaching

and tutoring experience, worked with over 8,000 students.

She's on the board of Chad, which is the Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder,

the National Organization, which we always highly recommend to you,

as well as the International Dyslexia Association.

And she's done hundreds of presentations.

She's the author of an award-winning book,
