last year did you know James I did I am excited to talk about this guy and talk about how far

we've come from you and I in front of the mics getting mad at the Yankees analytics team for putting

this beef cake in right field. We had no idea what was going on and here we are a couple years

later talking about the defending American Lake home run champ Lewis Linwood Voight he's been one

of the best first baseman in baseball since he's come over he's been the best hitting American

league first baseman since he's come over pretty easily with a 913 OPS since 2018 that's all star

level the only guy that has a higher than that at first base is Freddie Freeman who won the MVP

last year Luke Voight has been awesome I mean it's crazy reliving the foot stuff last year and

thinking about the Yankees injuries and how much you know him just lagging it out every day and

getting some big limp's out there and going back to going back to 2019 you know when Luke Voight

hurt his tummy is hernia it didn't feel like a major blow we were numb at that point because the

Yankees had had so many injuries that year and he came back from the hernia stuff and he played

badly because he was hurt that it didn't feel like a huge blow at the time but now it's in my head

it's kind of funny looking back to 2019 like oh yeah this dude's a maller for us when he's right

is this you just let me into something okay because you said we were used to like losing first

baseman I mean it's just the biggest mainstay at first since text like I mean it's like the

shortened 2020 season is 110 games in 2019 yeah that's the longest 10 year first baseman since

Tashira we thought birdie was gonna do it and then that didn't happen yeah yeah we're looking at

a hundred and 213 games for the Yankees but you know it was in 2018 once he took off and then

everyone was like was it a fluke and it's like no not really it's just amazing now I think the fluke
