Here's the topic. High standards are not vain. So don't apologize for having high personal standards.

It doesn't make you arrogant or vain unless you look down on others because theirs aren't where

yours are.

High standards for yourself create a mental conditioning that makes it less likely you give

less than your best in any life arena, whether you're making your bed, grooming, dressing,

or deciding what you allow into your

mind and your body or whom you allow into your life. High personal standards help you create

self-respect, self-discipline, and a healthy discomfort that keeps you growing as you continually

look to raise your own standards or expand them to other areas of your life

where you've been prone to slack. So there's no shame in wanting to be the best you possible.

So don't let others make you feel bad about wanting to feel good about yourself. Oh.
