Well, thank you, Don. Yes, it's a pleasure having you on the show. A few words about Mark. Mark

Villarreal is a two-time international best-selling author, keynote, and motivational speaker, coach, and consultant.

He speaks and is an expert on leadership, culture, business development, and strategy.

Mark has over 35 years of experience in building teams and achieving sea level status within the organizations he has been associated with in the last 20 years. He also

host and teaches webinars and seminars on organizational culture and leadership. Establishing the

right culture and leadership is the foundation for long-term success. Well, Mark, today's topic is

leadership lessons from mom. I love that title. So take it away for a minute and tell our listeners,

sort of set the stage for our listeners on this topic. Well, first thing I say is that mothers make the

first impact. You know, very important. My father made an impact on that, but my mom was a housewife.

And I quote that she was the best leadership coach who chose to be a housewife. Back then, it may have been easier in the day.

But what I did in the book is on my blogs, I would always talk about, oh, here's a lesson I learned from childhood from my mother.

And I started gaining quite a following with that, that people said, you need to write that story.

So what I did is I took 40 lessons from young childhood

all the way up until her death and really disrelated on what happened in my childhood. And I'm very

transparent. So I tell about bad things I did as well. But the lesson that my mom taught me,

but what's so unique is sometimes we don't realize that every lesson

that we learned growing up relates to us in adulthood now, but also relates. I'm able to correlate
