Yesterday or day before, remember I was talking about Sunny, I was talking about that one back kick thing and how he does that little thing.

And I saw your eyes kind of go like, like, hmm, I'm going to try that.

Yeah, and that's how I coach. I bring, I make suggestions. I do, when I was in, in 1998, I was doing a little bit of the WQS there,

and I hung out with Kelly in Africa.

And so we played golf and stuff like that.

And I made a couple suggestions to him about moving like a gazelle.

And like, you know, I made a few things.

And he paddled out and he could instantly apply it.

And you too, I could just make, which actually the kind of suggestion I would make with you would be to bring up old footage of you where you look like you were on and go, remember this sock, remember this, I remember that feeling. Okay, I remember that feeling. Welcome back. Happy New Year. I'm actually taking the day off today,

but I have really good news for you. I've got Aki and Gurr to fill in for me for this week's

episode. You hear me talk too much anyway, so this is a good thing. Brad Gerlack was at Nyama

Resort in the

Maldives hosting Wavekey workshops with clients earlier this year, and he got Aki to come out

and participate, surf, analyze footage together, which seems like an incredible learning opportunity.

So today's episode is one of those conversations. Brad actually invited me to come

out for this to help document it. It was kind of last minute so I wasn't able to make it, but Brad

sent me this after the fact and we thought that it would be really useful for anyone who wants

to be a fly on the wall and glean some insights here from Aki and Brad or just improve their surfing.

So that's what this is.

And as with much of Brad's wave key teachings, it focuses on really simple, almost always overlooked fundamentals, like where one's head placement is in relation to their surfboard and the wave itself. So it's really

kind of easy to follow instructions, whether you are a beginner or a pro who's currently on the
