Summary

Back in the mid 90's a couple of records came out that absolutely blew my mind. Part Time Goes Full and Shoot Out by one of my favorite bands The Mother Hips.

They were both on Rick Rubin's label American Records and at some point went out of Print meaning you could not buy them or even Stream them. But now that has all changed as of last week they are available to stream everywhere.

Today I sit down with Tim and talk about those early days and the recording and writing process of those 2 masterpieces.

0:35.1	25 years telling anyone I can about these two records. Part timer goes full and
0:42.4	shoot out. Both were on American records, Mr. Rick Rubens label back in the day
0:48.4	and then they were out of print until last Friday when now you can find them
0:53.8	anywhere available on any streaming platform. I prefer Amazon HD. It sounds
1:01.1	pretty damn good on there. I've been listening to them for about five days
1:04.8	straight. I cannot tell you how much I love this band. I've done it over and over
1:11.7	and sometimes I just wish that I had way more power to where if I said
1:19.2	listen to this band overnight they would be huge. A 30 year overnight success. If I
1:26.9	sat here and said listen to these two records and tomorrow all said they were
1:31.0	number one. Somebody could do that. Somebody out there, a Rick Ruben, he you know
1:38.6	they were originally on his label. I'd like to see Rick Ruben go back and and work
1:46.3	with this band. He didn't produce them and he really didn't have a lot to do
1:50.4	with their record deal or anything but I'd like to see him sit down and go let's
1:55.2	see what happened back then and let's see what I could do. I could definitely see
2:00.6	a Rick Ruben. Who else could I see work in this pretty damn good. Maybe Dave Cobb.
