Welcome back everybody to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell.

This is a draft episode because this is a podcast largely where we draft things and occasionally talk about other things, but mostly we just draft things.

And this is a draft I'm calling

the one season wonders. Now, you may be saying you with the encyclopedic knowledge of the incomparable.

What, Jason, about episode 55, the brilliant but canceled draft in which we drafted great TV

shows that failed to reach their proper natural lifespan. And to you, I would say, first off, why do you remember that?

Second, that was way back in 2011.

Third, the premise here is slightly different in that we're going to be drafting shows that only made it one season.

Now, there was before the podcast a lot of rules litigation, um, happening in our

slack about what, what about shows that were miniseries, so they were never intended to go on

for more than one season. What about movies? I'll rule as we go by, but I'll just say the idea

here is it's a TV show that was meant to be an ongoing concern, but it only did one season.

And then they never came back. So it's the shows that only had the one season, but it was a great season.

And they're worth, worth you, I don't know, checking out if they're available somewhere, otherwise just worth you weeping about the fact that they got canceled, I guess.
