We're going to take off to the park today and explore the history behind what is arguably one of New York's most famous attractions.

Well, it's one of the biggest tourist attractions.

The city couldn't survive without Central Park.

Not only is it of course the heart of the city, as they also call it, it's the lungs of New York City as well.

And it was designed really to give residents a place to breathe, you know, but also designed to give people a place to escape to.
